"Pahlavi name is now synonymous with progress, happiness and secularism."
Is it ?
Crown Prince, Reza Pahlavi and Pamela Anderson
According to my dictionary, a Pahlavi is a regime which gives rise to an I.R...Something like that... And no... It is not printed in Moscow... London, maybe...
And a Qajar is a regime which gives rise to a Pahlavi (and before that a Safavi to an Afshar and thence to a Zand and so on and so forth).
Dialectical materialiusm for the filthy traitorous West-residing geriatric Commies...or something like that....
Every time I speak to my family mebers and relatives who lived during Shah's reign I hear nothing but progress, happiness, and good memories. No war, summary executions, sanctions, forced dress code, fear, exile....
Dear AO, I don't heed what people speak with their mouths nor write with their hands. I look at what they do with their feet. Before 1979, Iran did not have a record of major permanent emigration in its recent history (I guess you might have to go back to the Parsis leaving Iran for India centuries ago for such a phenomenon). It took the Glorious Ann-Ghollab of '79 to make Iran a major source of permament immigration.
I am not a "islamophobe"! But I am keen to learn about this religion of Peace!
So can the Muslim commentor here (yes, I am talking about you habibi, whichever user name/gender/political mask you are using today!!) tell me if there is a chapter in Quran which orders the muslims to every Saturday on a shooting rampage in an American shopping mall, killing infidles (child infidles being prefered targets) , whillst howling that famos message of Peace; "Allah O Akbar"??
:)))
Unlike Fred I am no fear of Pahlavi-phobia! It's been with us since day 1. What is much frightening is Pahlavi-mania! Whenever the populace experienced Pahlavi-mania, there followed a cycle of doom and disaster, like the one in which we are now.
Good to see Anglo here...very good...
"Good to see Anglo here"
And with the same user name, too, rather than the 100th recycled one. How odd!
Let's see if he's the same anglo...if yes, then maybe, only maybe I let you know more...maybe...
Sadly Pahlavi dynasty is over. The departure of last shah (for whatever reason) and inability of his son to mobilize and organize effective opposition (for whatever reason) pretty much cast the last stone on it.
This does not mean that true monarchists should give up the idea of monarchy but we have to admit it’s an uphill battle from here on.
What Iranians and Americans alike despise are terrorists which is synoonymous with Muslims, Tudehies, Commies, Mosadequist, and all combinations!
Wlecome back my dear friend Anglo!
Good to have you back Anglo Jan \
if Crown Prince Reza ever wanted to make a point and score politically he had three great opportunities in the past 4 years where three Coronations took place in Europe.
His mother has personal connections with All three Royal families :
In pictures: The coronation of Spain's new King Felipe VI in Madrid
Highlights: Albert II abdication and King Philippe coronation - BBC News
Dutch crowning: Willem-Alexander sworn in as king - YouTube
He PERFECTLY KNOWS that his presence would be welcomed easily given how he showcases his own daughter via his mother :
AMONGST ROYALS: Shahbanou Farah and Princess Noor @ Bernadotte Art Awards 2014
But no ...
"His Majesty" Prefers the company of Airhead Bimbos and IRI Apologists who compose his staff
This Airhead never understood that beyond political statements and BS philisophical considerations or reckless interviews for which he has no credibility what matters most when one represents a dynasty are Symbols and additionally what matters in politics is perception.
Yet he has failed miserably on both accounts.
But this is beyond him and beyond this Bee Hoviat Diaspora and its pseudo intellectuals to even comprehend.
I Rest my Case !
I know that Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi is not approved by some monarchists. In particular, one monarchist, Mr Omid dana the grand son of Ayatollah Sheikh Mohamad Vaez Tehrani has been very critical of Reza Pahlavi !!!
But most Iranians I speak to seem to like Reza Pahlavi. In Iran itself, I know that he is very well liked by young people who are fed up of Islamic rule. That is why the Iranian regime spends so much resources attacking him. Because they are frightened of him! And they should be.
And which one do you find more offensive? Reza pahlavi with Pam anderson or this thing below?!!!
FALSE !
More than 50 genuine monarchists who have a record of outspoken resistance and activism against the Islamic Republic signed a common petition warning Crown Prince Reza against his treacherous and Anti Constitutional U Turns.
It's not You MKO supporters who are going to lecture us on who is a monarchist and who isn't !
Omid Dana is doing a great job and I support him 100 %
He is more patriotic than anyone In the Shahrvand's Stupid Shora .
As for those who call themselves "Pahlavists" as being RP's Fans they are anything but monarchists.
None of these young guys were even born or lived under the monarchy to know what we are advocating.
Additionally RP is taking advantage of their youth and naivity to lure them into his Pro Republic Narrative as an excuse to distance himself from his father's last will.
History will judge him for his betrayal.
Who is guilty of betrayal?
Is it the one who has consistently advocated for the freedom of his nation from theocracy and a return to secular rule? The person who has tried to maintain the friendship between Iranians and the west through the decades? The person who spent his years advocating on behalf of his nation even though Iranians betrayed his father and cursed his name?
I agree that Reza Pahlavi should have done more to allay the fears of the indispensable champions of monarchy like Mr. Kadivar and the scores of older monarchists who kept the flame alive during those difficult first couple of decades.
We can't replace the shah's son with Omid now can we? There is no one else.
Did you guys watch the Clinton/Trump debate last night? The issue of tax returns came up on top pretty fast... Isn't it the right time for Reza, and the rest of political activists for that matter to disclose the source and amount of their wealth and income?...I think it will be good, if not for secularism but surely for democracy...Something like that...
Individuals with multiple user IDs who urge "disclosure" should disclose their own names, n'est-ce pas?
I don’t think any one can argue that RP (AKA shahrvand) is not a nice guy and means well and given a chance he may be a good king. Having said that I think the problem with him goes far beyond not attending few royal events. I seem him as uncharismatic, lacking leadership skills, lacking good judgements, unable to mobilize and organize effective opposition, unable to provide a vision and path that inspires a nation and list goes on............
Honestly when MKO that is hated by just about everybody does a better job of organizing, and recognition what does that tell us about his ineffectiveness?
Unfortunately with him we are not going anywhere and this is coming from someone that still likes and respects the guy!
Thank you to all my good old friends. The news of my demise must've been exaggerated
Good to hear from you Anglo-Phile. We all missed you. Welcome back.
Hitchens is one of my few favorite Brits! This quote is right on because there should be no "phobia" of what is clearly a scary cult of violence.
Hitchen's fatal flaw: his support for Iraq war...
Hitchens's wrongheaded (IMHO) support for the Iraq war is a lesser "fatal" flaw than his erstwhile Marxism, Comrade.
This is my question: Can a comfy theorician with a cushy job be called a Marxist?... A Marxologist, maybe... Even Marx wasn't Marxist...
Q: Can a comfy theorician with a cushy job be called a Marxist?
A: Karl Marx. Friedrich Engels. VI Lenin. Leon Trotsky, et cetera, et cetera
I watched Trump/Clinton debate last night. He crushed her. Can I ask our commie friend on this site to produce his green card so we can make sure he is not an illegal immigrant!?
Hitchens views on religion are dead-on regardless.
Ex_CoP: I agree with you completely. The origin and use of the term Islamophobia is particularly asinine and sinister.
Trump seemed nervous... He isn't a seasoned debater... Hopefully he'll perform better next time... It's all about performance... A circus show for which the nation falls every time... Every effing time...
But, a smart, geriatric Commie like you is too smart to fall for it, right Comrade?
hahahahahahahahahahahaha
And this from the smart set that got "outfoxed" by Emam in '79. Tsk, tsk.
Nothing is more vile, more dangerous for mankind than Godless capitalism... Atheism should be restricted to truly socialist societies for their unique ability in defining and setting up moral values... Taking God out before ridding of capital is the fastest recipe for disaster...
Comrade, you speak as if "truly socialist societies" have any kind of a future outside of your imagination. Good luck!
Bottom line: if you're in your 50's, 60's and 70's, fled from Iran after the revolution that you supported, and are still obsessing about a weak Middle Eastern dictator who died 40 years ago, you're a loser!
True... But it isn't so much obsession about the dead king, as it is all for thwarting the return of stinky dictatorial kingdom... For that one is called a hero, or something like that...
Yes, Comrade Razi Tazi Mini Joon, your "heroic" comments on iroon.com make that much difference. Keep up the good work.

Dear Amir - Delusions of grandeur is a common psychaitric illneess among the geriatric commie / revolutionary crowd. If it wasn't for their blogs and comments Israel would have attacked Iran, Shah--or his ghost---or his son, would have taken power in Iran, and Iran would have been overrun by blonde haired people.
I was not referring to myself, Regardless of whether you tried to inult me... What do we call those who take joy in insulting digital avatars? Delusional psychsomething... :)
So, you're not commenting to stop the monarchy from returning? You're just a loser who is still obsessed with a guy who died 40 years ago?
Dear AO, anyone who is an acolyte of Marx, Engels, Lenin et al. in this day and age is in dire need of a team of psychoanalysts flown straight from Vienna.
Erratum:
Q: What do we call those who take joy in insulting multiple digital avatars?
A: Delusional multiple personality psychsomething
I hear this lady is related to Ayatollah Khamenei!
Razi:
"Even Marx wasn't Marxist..."
Razi Jaan,
The above was a cliche Mash Ghasem and his other avatars used. Are you in the business of plagerizing, now? Haha
Roozbeh and Mash Ghasem are very good at copy and paste business... I think it was Marx himself that said he was not a Marxist...
Inspector,
The picture that you posted in the above really turns me on.
Where can we meet this lady ?
Siavash.
be very carefull by who you get turned on by on this site!
random visual inspection of Julia tells me that she might not be a khaanoom or a khan for that matter!
To me she could be something in between! A bit like "razi" joon metamorphosing into "suri" joon and back, all in a blink!!
Must not be very windy there, that's some outfit.
However, some more vaajebi, or even a fresh razor seems to be in order. MEOW
Ex cop.
I think the hairy style made it more sexy and desirable.
