I suspect He will never become a king and it will be passed to his son. He is weak, incompetent, couldn't keep a marriage together , divorced and went for some ugly woman for a companion. His speeches are shalow and he has become a joke. These are not the qualities you are looking for in a monarch specially in Britain of 2017 where too much is already at the stake . In contrast his son seems to be a capable person with a nice looking wife and from a new generation. If there is any way they can by pass charles and make his son the king they will do!
The only reason monarchy is preserved in UK is the fact that the Brist value their heritage. If you've spent time in UK, it is hard to miss.
Like it or not, most Brits believe that the Royal Family are just a bunch of free loaders, but they want them around as a symbloic reminder of their glorious past.
