Give me a break! Is that the only problem the Iranian women have?
“We call on FIFA to stand on its principles, hold Iran accountable for violating one of FIFA’s most fundamental statutes, and demand that the Islamic Republic permanently end the ban on female attendance,” said the signatories led by actress and board member of the Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI), Nazanin Boniadi.
This reminded me of two quotes attributed to Groucho Marx:
“Those are my principles, and if you don’t like them... well, there are others.”
Give me a break! Is that the only problem the Iranian women have?
You’re absolutely right, this is only one of the thousand and one “problem” Iranian women face under the despicable, misogynistic gender apartheid laws enforced for the past 40 years by the unreformable Islamist fascists.
The question is, since there are other “problems” this one should be overlooked and given a pass?
Again, the question is, since there are other “problems” this one should be overlooked and given a pass?
Nope! Not a single problem should be overlooked.
But this problem exists because the regime sees women as second-class citizens.
When you say:
"Give me a break! Is that the only problem the Iranian women have? "
The logical question is:
Since there are other “problems” this one should be overlooked and given a pass?
forget about my line of logic as you see it, When you say:
"Give me a break! Is that the only problem the Iranian women have? "

Here’s one more problem with your line of reasoning:
While asking for sanctions with regards to the Iranian soccer team, you praise women who travel all the way to Russia to watch and root for that same team carrying the flag of the country that you want sanctioned. But, of course, you don’t see that as a problem.
Hate to belabor the point, and it is the last time I'm posing the unanswered question.

That is not a logical question. It’s a question that pleases the authorities in Tehran, first and foremost. Is that all these ladies can come up with after 40 long years of oppressive rule by the regime in Tehran?
This is a problem that can be resolved by Iranians through boycotting the games until women are allowed to enter the stadiums. Men can stay home and watch the games. That would show the world how determined Iranians are about changing things around.
