Library of Congress: Ahmad Karimi-Hakkak discussed "The Persian Book of Kings" as part of the Library's "A Thousand Years of the Persian Book" exhibition.

Speaker Biography: Ahmad Karimi-Hakkak was professor of Near Eastern languages and civilizations at the University of Washington for 19 years. He is currently a professor and founding director of the Roshan Center for Persian Studies in the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Maryland. He has written 19 books and more than 100 major scholarly articles. A specialist in modern Persian literature, his works have been translated into French, Dutch, Spanish, Russian, Greek, Arabic, Japanese and Persian. He has served as president of the International Society for Iranian Studies and several other professional academic organizations.
