Majid Naficy is an Iranian-American poet whose Wikipedia biography I urge you to read. His life has been eventful.

“To a Snail” was translated by Niloufar Talebi; Majid sometimes does his own translation into English after writing a poem in Persian. Both poet and translator responded warmly to my request for permission to include their work in The Poetry Zoo.
