Mahmoud Jafarian became head of Pars News Agency but also deputy director of Iran's National Radio Television with Parviz Nikkhah becoming deputy director of the radio tV service. 

PS: I found Khodabakhshian's observations all the more interesting give  that last year BBC Persian had a televised report on the trials taking place under the Islamic republic and was trying dishonestly to draw parrallels with what it deemed as arbitrary trials during the Shah's Era and Mentioned the cases of Mahmoud Jafarian and Parviz Nikkhah and which was posted in the news sections of Iranian.com and to which I reacted with the following comment and historical feedbacks in the comments section just underneath the posted BBC Report: Go Here
