I think the problem is two fold: 1) there's no real organized opposition against the IR inside or outside of Iran--the IR has spent billions on dollars on efforts, including terrorism, to make sure of that, and 2) the once "members" of the "opposition" have given up and are groveling at the feet of the IR for the right to be a part of the clusterF**k that it has made of Iran. 

True opposition has never existed! Had there been a true opposition around, the IRI regime would have never come to power in the first place! To oppose requires you to coalesce first! To coalesce you need to have convictions in something, diginty, self-respect,....!

I actually don't blame the folks who went to this White House NoRooz luncheon. They are merely being predictably stylish. If I had been invited, I would have certainly gone too. So would you. Although we would dance around and smile a lot less than some of these folks.

These Iranians are all well aware of the delusion they had to carry in, along with their valet-parked consciences, when they went to this prestigious lunch.

They know. And, they know we know. They just could not pass up the opportunity to sell out and sell off reason, in treurn for personal gratification, validation, and of course, misplaced optimism.

Also, especially these Iranians are very tired of LOSING. We all are. The difference is that these Iranians have decided that in order to WIN for goddamn once, they should simply pretend they are WINNING. I'll go out on a very thick limb and now suggest that this was a nothing but another fund raiser. Those who agreed to think "WIN" got the invite and wrote smaller than expected checks. Certainly this was not a "White House" luncheon. Apparently the Iran Deal included one use of the White House banquet facilities for an "TBD Iranian Community Event".

The biggest flaw in our thinking as Iranians, is the refusal to accept the fact that as much as we keep refusing to accept that we aren't actually White.

And of course, we are most certainly NOT WINNING.
