Because of its rarity, bravery is universally commended. In the me, me ,me era, when the motto “one who has the most toys wins”  is the most cherished goal,  bravest are those who stand up to injustice regardless of personal cost.

Amnesty International’s “Brave” campaign introducers these special people to a world losing its soul in wanton materialism.

The incarcerated Atena Daemi, a twenty something Iranian girl, a defender of street children and anti-murder (hanging) activist, is on her 49th day of hunger strike. Her loss will be a tremendous loss to a world very deficient of people like her. Please don’t stay silent.
