On Sunday, Mike Pompeo will address an enthusiastic Iranian-American crowd at the Ronald Reagan’s Presidential Library in Simi Valley, CA. As expected, he will talk about all the crimes and misdeeds of the IR Regime in the past 40 years. He will say that the great Iranian people deserve a better government. He will not directly mention a “Regime Change”, but he will get very close to it. He will also talk about his 12-point to-do list and the coming harsh sanctions.
But you see, we know all of that. We don’t need to rehash the 40-yr. history of the IR Regime; its criminal actions against the Iranians and its adventures in the region. We don’t need to beat our chests and pull our hair again. We need action. We need specific plans.
So here’s what I would say, if I were him; obviously after a short version of the crimes of the Regime, just to warm up the crowd.
“I’m told that you Iranian-Americans are the most educated and successful immigrants in this country. Is that true?”
“Yes we are. Yes we are.” The crowd will chant.
“And you say that you control over $700 billion of assets in this country. Is that right?”
“Yes we do. Yes we do.” The crowd will chant again.
“And you want this regime gone and a new secular government to take its place. Right?”
“Yes we want. Yes we want.”
“So why the hell you are not doing anything about it and looking at me to do everything? Stop chanting slogans, signing petitions, “liking” blogs and posts and get up and do something, you lazy morons!”
And the crowd chants: "tell us how, tell us how"...
Don't you think he'll get more of a visceral response if he started with a roozeh or Sofreh?
The poor guy will be baffled by the high expectations, conspiracy theories, divisiveness of the Iranian-American community, and the customary Khaayeh-Maali. Hopefully, he will not just throw his arms up in the air and say, "I give up. You guys call me when you have a plan!"
But, it's worth watching. It will be live on YouTube.
